Mission Statement

The Sunrise Elementary Parent Teacher Community Organization (Sunrise PTCO) is an all-volunteer run, non-profit organization committed to enhancing and enriching the education of our children and fostering a sense of community within our school. We seek to keep parents and community members connected and informed by facilitating a closer relationship between school and home and serving as the communication link between the two.

About This Cause

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to strengthen the school's capacity to provide the highest quality education possible for all students. We strive to do this by: 

• Enhancing educational programs spanning all grade levels to include funding field trips and providing classroom supplies and technology. 

• Hosting many fun events throughout the year to include school dances, trunk or treat, carnival, fun run, student holiday shop, etc. 

• Supporting other school hosted events such as math night, literacy night, art show, and the various school clubs. 

• Hosting numerous faculty/staff appreciation events in every school throughout the school year. 

Our annual budget is raised solely through donations, fundraising efforts, and events. We urge all families with children attending Sunrise Elementary to join as PTCO members each school year or simply attend our community meetings. Each volunteer helps augment our children’s school experience and supports our educators in fulfilling their vision. Parent, teacher, and community involvement is a fundamental part of what makes a school community rich and robust. We take great pride in the strength of our PTCO and encourage you to learn more about our programs and get involved in any of the many volunteer opportunities that work with your interests and schedule.
